Lorraine Goldbloom

Raised in Bethel, CT, Lorraine was very excited to get out of a small town and move to the big city. She moved to New York City and was drawn to theater. She graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts Acting Conservatory, also studying at the famed Lee Strasberg Institute. Lorraine acted, directed and was the producer for several theater companies. This enabled her to perform diverse roles in a variety of genres and periods. Clytemnestra and the Wicked Witch of the West were two of her favorites. She has always been partial to highly misunderstood characters.

Like most aspiring actors, Lorraine had to figure out a "day job" while auditioning. Her interest in health and wellness led her to become a personal trainer. Working in that arena, she became interested in more subtle and energetic aspects of the human form, and was certified as a yoga instructor. During this time she also trained in Theta Healing, Therapeutic Touch, Crystal Healing and Shiatsu, and obtained three different Reiki Master certifications. The culmination of these trainings was working on the Wellness Team at Long Island College Hospital. As she began to develop her own healing practice, a friend suggested they sign up for a course in VortexHealing for "fun," and Lorraine agreed.

Nothing she had studied before resonated with her the way Vortex did. Impressed by the results on a body level and drawn by the freedom of awakening, Lorraine soon found Vortex to be a compelling force in her life. In 2005 she was invited to become a VortexHealing teacher. Her background in movement helped her to develop the Bringing Consciousness To Form class, as well as the class for Bringing Consciousness Thru Form.

Lorraine is married, has two stepsons, and the most gorgeous cat in the world. They live in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY.
