The House
Poulstone Court is a beautiful Victorian country house set
in peaceful surroundings close to the River Wye. The house is consecrated to
providing a nourishing environment for personal growth courses. On arrival the
clarity and beauty invite you to relax and we trust that this, together with
delicious tasty food, will enable you to feel held and supported on your
journey.
The house is warm and comfortable with accommodation for
up to 36 people in 13 bedrooms all of which are airy and spacious. There are
two group rooms - one inside the house overlooking tranquil farmland, the
other, larger, in a separate building a short distance from the main house. A
comfortable living room provides space for you to relax with your cup of tea and
afternoon cake!

Things you need to Know
Please bring with you:
Your own towel and wash things.
Soft shoes to wear inside the house.
Outdoor shoes or boots together with wet weather clothes as
there are lovely walks nearby.
Food:
Meals are vegetarian - and the food plentiful and
delicious. We do what we can to cater for special diets as long as we are told
at least a week before you are due to arrive. If there is any doubt or you have
some questions please email or phone Marigold at Poulstone. We may ask
you to bring food to supplement what we provide. If you have special
dietary needs (wheat free, dairy free, etc), please contact the organizer well
in advance of the class.
Single rooms: These are sometimes
available, depending on the size of the group. Please check with your
facilitator or whoever is taking bookings for your group.
Smoking, Candles & Incense: We are very sensitive to fire risk, so Poulstone Court is an
entirely non-smoking house. Ash buckets are provided on the porch outside the
front door. We also ask you to refrain from lighting candles or incense
in your bedroom.

From outside the UK
You fly
into London Heathrow Airport, take the Heathrow Express train to Paddington
Station, in London. The train runs every 15 minutes and takes 15 minutes to
get to Paddington. It costs about 12 pounds each way. (You save a pound by
buying a ‘return’, which means round-trip, ticket.) You can also take the
underground from the airport to Paddington. This is costs only about 4 pounds,
but it will take a good bit longer. From Paddington, take a train to Hereford
(takes about 3 hours). From Hereford, take a taxi (see taxi directions, below).
For convenience, take a direct train (one in which you don’t need to switch
trains). The trains that leave Paddington after 9.30am are less expensive than
ones earlier. Also, do buy a ‘return’ ticket. You only pay a pound extra for
the return.
By Train -
Hereford is the nearest
station and the Blue Line Taxi Co. will bring you here for a

By road Poulstone Court is easily accessible via the M6 to
M5 to M50 or M4, A449/A40 motorways.
Travel to Poulstone from Ross
on Wye from Ross on Wye : From the Wilton Roundabout at Ross-on-Wye take A49 to Hereford, then 2nd right, signposted Hoarwithy - follow road into
Hoarwithy (4 miles). Go past New Harp Inn and take right turn, signposted Kings Caple. Go over the river, up
hill and take 2nd right, signposted
Kings Caple. At
village crossroads, take left turn signposted Fawley. Pass the School and old farm on your
left. Round to the right and then
tight left hand bend - the drive to Poulstone Court is on the right. Go over two cattle
grids and on round to
the front of the house.
Travel to Poulstone from
Hereford from Hereford City Centre via Little Dewchurch & Hoarwithy
Leave
Hereford on the A49 Ross Road. At first main set of Traffic
Lights, turn Left on the B4399 towards Rotherwas. At first mini
roundabout Turn Right on Hoarwithy Road. Follow the road through Little
Dewchurch and on down the hill into Hoarwithy (about 6 miles). At
the bottom of the hill turn sharp left signposted Kings Caple Go over the bridge across the River Wye. Take the second
turning on the Right, again signposted Kings Caple. At the crossroads
in the centre of the village, turn Left signposted Fawley & How
Caple. Go past the school on the left, and then the farm,
follow the road round to the right and the left, ignore the slip road on the
right - Poulstone Court is the next entrance on the Right over a cattle grid.
Follow the drive right to the end to the main house.
